Burlingame High School Reviews

This is an excellent school. My son is a senior now and he had the best possible teachers all these years. Very happy with the school and my kid's achievements there.

This school has the best music department in the district. Between the half-time shows at football games and the musicals from the pit, if your kid is a musician... send him/her to BHS!

My daughter is currently a junior at BHS which she excels and made lots of new friends. Her teachers are passionate about their responsibility and make themselves available for students. The parents group involvement is wonderful. The classroom is well funded, and the community pull together to support the students. I am glad to have my daughter at this school.

My son started BHS after moving from overseas and I was very worried about him. I can honestly say that he is doing very well and has never had a bad word said to him at BHS. Teachers and fellow pupils alike have been very supportive and friendly. If you e-mail a teacher you get an immediate response and you can tell there is a genuine concern for your son and anything they can do to help they will. I can compare this to a smaller second level education school overseas and for the amount of pupils at BHS the teachers and staff are doing an incredible job and the pupils should be commended for being polite and kind to each other. Way to go BHS!!!

I have two young adults who graduated from BHS. I was grateful for the high school experience that they were able to receive. The teachers, administration and students make this an awesome environment. If you're fortunate enough to attend Burlingame High School - you are blessed!

My son graduated in 2004 and coming from private school he found the school at first difficult to make new friends, but after a bit a time he ended up with a wonderful group of friends. The teachers are wonderful and very dedictated. Ap classes are excellent. Over-all we were very happy he went to this school.

Burlingame High School is a mid-size high school in suburban Burlingame. It's truly an outstanding school. The teachers are extremely well-trained and dedicated. Course offerings are very diverse, from AP and Honors classes to a variety of performing and fine arts. The school has a very strong, hard-working parent group, which raises funds every year to provide the faculty with money for projects and classroom supplies and books. The school's mission to not only educate but also bring forth students who are socially responsible results in annual food, toy, and blood drives. Students also tutor children in local elementary schools, and work in a variety of community groups. Many of BHS's graduates go on to prestigious universities, including UC Berkeley, and Stanford, and most of its grads attend college, whether at 4-year institutions on by attending community college first, and then transfering to university.

This is an awesome traditional school. My daughter has had a great experience with the CP Program. The present principal is in way over his head but strong traditions keep this school going in spite of his attempts to turn it into another wimpy school.

My daughter is just completing 9th and loves the school. We are extremely happy with the wonderful quality of teachers and the academic program. All her teachers have made this year challenging and fun. The water polo and swimming teams are fun and well run and the coaches for both are fantastic. The teachers, coaches and counslers are helpful and attentive, helping guide the kids to continue to make good decisions. They also go out of their way to make themselves available to parents.

Burlingame High students benefit from dedicated, hard-working teachers and an excellent principal. Parents and the local community are extremely supportive. Students can join dozens of clubs on campus or job-shadow to learn about possible careers. If your child is in the honors track, he or she will get the equivalent of a private school education. However, the CP track is not challenging.
